The goal of the assignment was to create people powered products - cranks, spins, latches, so long as the mechanism was human powered, it was fair game. After spending one week out of two designing a burr mill coffee grinder, I decided that was the most boring thing on the planet and immediately switched gears to a zombie apocalypse survival tool!
